Search Engine Control

đź“– To bring you our most recent search engine, we work hard. We have updated our key features and added new ones to give you and your clients the greatest possible search experience. But as we make enhancements, our app has progressively become more sophisticated, and the capabilities we offer are more difficult to monitor and govern. Consequently, we are pleased to provide you with Search engine control. This dashboard includes actionable buttons and links to our user documents to assist you in keeping an eye on our various search capabilities.

What is Search engine control?

Our Search engine control is a monitor hub where you can observe all of our search features and their statuses. Our search features currently include AI Synonym, Semantic search, Searchable fields, Partial search, Typo tolerance, Numeric search & Special characters, Manual synonyms, and Search merchandising.

There are 5 columns in the control center:

  • Features: our available search features
  • Type: our search feature’s categories (Advanced, Standard, Merchandising)
  • Status: the current status of the features (Locked, On, Off, or Trial)
  • Actions: these cog-symbol buttons ⚙️ are actionable buttons that will redirect you to the feature’s customization page (if available)
  • Learn more: these book-symbol buttons đź“• are actionable buttons that will redirect you to the feature’s Help Center article to understand more deeply about that function

đź’ˇ You can experience our advanced AI-powered search feature (synonyms and semantic search) by subscribing to a trial period with us!

Monitor your search features

You can access our control center by:

  • From our app’s dashboard, go to Search > Search engine control

To check the status of each feature

When you first enter the page, you will see a table showing our search features and their status:

There are 4 possible statuses that you might see:

  • Locked: This is one of our add-on advanced features that you will need to subscribe for or be on a trial to use
  • On: the particular search feature is up and running with your search engine
  • Off: you haven’t set up the particular search feature, which we will show you how in the below section
  • Trial: the advanced feature is currently activated and running with your search engine until you decide to subscribe to the add-on or until the trial period runs out

To access search features’ settings

Within our seven search features, we currently allow you to actively customize 5 of them: AI synonym, Semantic search, Searchable fields, Manual synonyms, and Search merchandising. You can start customizing those features by following these steps:

  1. From the app’s dashboard, go to Search > Search engine control
  2. Look for your desired feature to customize (make sure their cog-like buttons ⚙️ are not opaque)
  3. In the Actions column, clicking on the cog-like action button ⚙️ will redirect you to the feature’s respective customization page
  4. Customize the feature to your desire
  5. Remember to Save settings and test the product on your storefront

⚠ If you haven’t subscribed to our AI-powered search, the AI synonym’s status will be shown as Locked and the Actions button will display🔒 Unlock. You may try our AI search and subscribe later by clicking the Unlock button.

To see search features’ analytics

You can directly access the Analytics page from the Search engine control which will increase your efficiency and smoothen your workflow:

  1. From the app’s dashboard, go to Search > Search engine control
  2. In the Actions column, click on the graph-like button 📊 to get redirected to the Search’s Analytics section
  3. Adjust your business’s strategy based on your given data and analytics
