How to update Sorting values

Attention: The current document only works with the old front-end lib from Boost Commerce. Please read this document first to know which version you are using.

If you are using the latest version of the app, kindly refer to this Sorting article.

We support all sorting values of Shopify including:

  • Best Selling.
  • Newest date or Oldest date (by created date). If you want to sort by published date, please contact us at, then we will implement it for you.
  • Price descending or Price ascending.
  • A-Z or Z-A.

You could add/remove/reorder them from our admin.

Go to our  Filter > choose Filter settings

Go to our filter> choose Filter settings

Go to the  Product list tab, then update values of  Sorting as you want like add/remove or drag & drop to update its order

Besides, there are some following advanced sort types that we can also support:
  • By Meta field
  • By Vendor
  • By Reviews

If you want to have them in your store, please send us a request here.

  • For Best selling sorting, because Shopify doesn't return Best Selling ranking like other sorting types and requires us to get it by metafield, instead. To make it works, please follow this guide.
  • All sorting options are available on both collection pages and search page; except for Relevance sorting, which is available for search page only as by default, results are returned in descending order of relevance. This sorting option is created by a complex algorithm that determines how close the contents of a full-text field are to a full-text query string.
